Fallout 4 Beta PC Patch Deployed

Build version 1.2.37 resolves various bugs and glitch problems, including solution to players trapped in terminals.

Developer Bethesda Softworks has released a new beta patch for the PC edition of Fallout 4, which is said to fix various bugs and glitches, in particular the problem with players finding themselves trapped in terminals.

Notes for the beta patch, which marks the game as version 1.2.37, list three key changes:
  • General memory and stability improvements.
  • Performance improvements inside the Corvega Assembly Plant.
  • Fixed issue with player becoming stuck in terminals.
This latest patch for the PC version is currently only available to those who opt-in for the beta updates, though it is expected to go on general release at some point later.
Since Fallout 4's release on November 10, Bethesda has not yet deployed a patch for the Xbox One and PS4 editions of the game, though console patches nearly always come a while after PC, due in part to the certification process undertaken by Sony and Microsoft.
Bethesda shipped 12 million physical copies of of Falloput 4 for launch day, though it's unclear how many of those were sold through to consumers. Research group SuperData has said the game sold 1.8 million copies across digital channels in its first three days.
